These pods are perfect replacements for Moka Espresso; in my case a Bialetti pan. We all know it, it happens to everyone, you put a pot on the stove, something happens and you can't get to it fast enough. By the time you get there, the rubber pad will have become a sticky mass and/or damaged in some other way or shape. Now the difficult task is to remove it, clean it properly and install it on a new one. This situation has happened to me too many times (well, only twice, but it was enough) so I decided to try these silicone pads. The ability to withstand higher temperatures without damage makes this replacement highly desirable. I have to say it works as advertised and I'm happy with it, but it has an unexpected problem that makes me wonder if it's worth it (for me). The problem is that silicone has a grippier surface than rubber. . That means when it comes time to open the cleaning tub, it's quite difficult to open. By that I mean I'm having trouble opening it myself and my wife has decided to stop using the pot which is becoming a problem for me. They work as intended, close perfectly, don't leak, but too hard to open for some people. I would like to use it but my wife doesn't have one.
