I bought these headphones because of the SD card capabilities. I enjoy listening to music at the gym and at home without being tethered to my phone via Bluetooth. I've only had these headphones for a few days and I'm very satisfied. I've been a jet fighter pilot for about 25 years, so I don't have the best hearing. At the same time, the sound quality is very good for me - like other reviews, they are a bit bass-heavy, but that suits me. I agree with other reviews and youtube videos discussing overall quality for the price. If they last more than 6 months and then fail I will probably buy another pair. The main reason I'm writing this review is that the instructions treat SD card use very poorly and I've read reviews where the headset couldn't access the SD card. My headset does not access the SD card when I follow the instructions. With a degree in mechanical engineering, I decided to run some tests to come up with procedures to make the SD card always work. Here's what I found. 1: SD card and FM radio have nothing to do with on/off switch - let it be. To access the SD card or FM radio, press the multifunction button (volume, pause/play, skip track) for 4 or 5 seconds. (Ignore the instructions for turning the unit on.) 2. Here's what happened to my headphones: When I pressed and held the switch, I started hearing FM interference, indicating the FM radio was on . When I press the MODE switch (as instructed) I get nothing. The device had to switch from FM to SD. It's not like this. However, when I gave the multi-function button a quick press, the hissing stopped and the unit seemed to go into SD mode, but didn't play the card. However, in SD mode, if you briefly remove and reinsert the SD card, the device will play music from the SD card. Find out. So if you've tried everything to get hold of the SD card, try the following: 1. Press and hold the MF button to switch to FM mode. 2. Short press and release the MF switch to switch to SD mode. 3. Remove the SD card and reinsert it immediately. And now the fun part, if you turned on the device before listening to the SD card, trying to turn off the device is useless. Writes "POWER OFF" but does not turn off. The music keeps playing. When the device is off, briefly pressing the MF switch to switch from SD mode to FM mode appears to turn off the device.
