Well, it's been a long, cold, and snowy winter here, and my trusty mittens were worn out from blowing and shoveling this year. I was looking for new mittens in the market because mittens keep my fingers warm, but I saw these and decided to give it a try. One of the problems in winter is that when you work outside with gloves or mittens, they get wet from the outside (snow and melt water) AND from the sweat you get while working. This means your hands are damp and eventually cold. They have some sort of moisture-wicking material that appears to be a copy of the Gore-Tex fabric system that repels water from the outside. They also seem to keep your hands dry on the inside. I've worn them outside a few times and I don't feel like the regular wet glove I used to wear with my old mittens, which weren't any special 'Tex' at all, just nylon insulated mittens. also extend well beyond the wrist. This prevents snow from getting onto the edge of the jacket and gloves as it can with a regular glove or mitten. They also have elastic straps on the inside that wrap around your wrist, presumably to prevent you from dropping your glove if it eventually slips from your hand. Basically, my experience has been that my hands have been warm and dry when working outside after the snow. Storm. That's what I was hoping for and that's what happened. Can't comment on durability issues yet, but they seem to be well made. If there was a trademark embroidered on it somewhere, it would be easy to believe that these are quality gloves. If you're in the market, this is a pretty good option.
