Like many people, I have a laptop that is several years old and has therefore gone from a once phenomenal 3.5 hours of battery life to 1.5 hours of battery life . So I have to take the charger with me everywhere. So I have to find an outlet everywhere. If you're not the first person at every meeting or at every airport, 6 feet isn't going to solve your problem. This 12 foot cable gives me the ability to be the 4th or 5th person to get anywhere. In my experience, this length ensures you have power around 90% of the time, allowing you to use a full outlet. Slap a $2 triple grounding tap on the end of your 12 foot Pwr+ wire and you now have a >99% chance of getting power. whenever you want because you can unplug someone else, plug them into a triple tap and still leave an extra outlet on the wall tap. When you study in kindergarten, let things be better than they were.
