I use them in some of the new fully enclosed porch lights. The brightness is perfect for my application. Also, the 3000k color is slightly whiter (less warm) than other similar bulbs that are advertised as 3000k but are actually more like 2700k. This is exactly what I was hoping for. However, there seems to be a wide range of calibrations/tolerances for photo sensors. I have a total of 5 lights with these bulbs and all lights are identical. The lamps are also mounted in such a way that all sensors generally point in the same direction. However, from the moment the first one turns on, it takes about 20 minutes for everyone to follow it. Everyone basically fires in about 5 minutes. It's okay, and don't take a star off just for that, they really work and look great.
