I love socks of all kinds and definitely have socks for special needs. I have wool socks that I only wear around the house on chilly evenings, as well as some that I wear on camping trips when I need extra protection from blisters. They are definitely more suitable for "wearing only at home on cold evenings". I wouldn't wear them when traveling. They are decent quality but the fabric is not very tight and they are not tight enough to make me want to walk in them. They are comfortable to wear and keep my feet warm. For that I would give them 4 stars.
