Front of the dress hands can go behind the lace, it's hard to tell if the dress pictured on Revain does the same but it doesn't look like it so make sure your child is actually playing with the lace as she can rip off a dress The dress is of brown gold rather than the pale gold, the gold pictured on Revain. There is spaghetti straps for this dress which doesn't seem to be the same in the Revain picture which is ok keep that in mind. The ties (as shown here) throughout the dress are so strong that the zipper caught when I unzipped it to put on my daughter's dress. I didn't know when I unbuttoned it, otherwise I would have gone through this maze of ropes before unbuttoning the dress. The seams indicate that parts of the dress will probably need to be re-sewn. I hope the dress doesn't fall apart as my daughter loved this dress. We bought it for her Christmas dress this year. She is tall for her age but very thin so the dress was too big for her but perfect for her size.
