Review on πŸͺ₯ HQRP 49x17mm Battery-Powered Toothbrush Replacement by Mary Cole

Revainrating 4 out of 5

HQRP has received the correct battery size only as a replacement battery for Oral-B Triumph

. This is NOT a direct replacement for the original manufacturer battery. HQRP only correctly determined the length of the battery. This battery has the positive and negative terminals welded at each end on the center, while the original battery has the positive terminal welded on the center and the negative terminal welded off the center. This is because the negative pin hole is off center on the PCB. This causes many problems that this replacement battery ignores. Also, the leads on this replacement battery are too wide to fit through the holes in the circuit board to which it is attached. You need to cut the wires with wire cutters. And getting a clean edge isn't easy. It is also not easy to determine how long the narrower strip should be. Now the really tricky part is that the rods are very soft and bend easily. Since the negative cable isn't offset (but it has to be off-center somehow!) and you'll have to cut, twist and bend it, try to slide this little pliable cable into the small hole and try to avoid pressure. caused by pushing the battery into its holder (often with many attempts), brings the battery into its final resting position too quickly. This quick movement leaves no time to align the soft metal with the hole. This causes the soft rod to bend. Thank goodness it didn't break! I had to work with each end of the battery separately. It took each of them about 10 minutes of repeated attempts to stick a stupid sinker in the hole. The original battery (manufactured by Sanyo) had a complex bend in the wire to make it slightly stiffer and properly align to the correct length. the replaceable battery gives you no idea how long the cut piece should be. In short, this battery is not a direct replacement for the original battery and will require a lot of patience, luck and even more luck to get the wires into the holes. Braun didn't help by making this setup very difficult. And who needs a free battery stand? Hm?
