Do not follow the picture. Do not follow the instructions of other watches. You don't use a tool to push the pin out on the other side and then pull. The pins are short and balance in the middle of the limb. You have to push the pin all the way in and then wiggle the band until it comes loose on one side. Then tilt it to that side and shake/pull out the pin. Bringing it back requires even more work in balancing, pressing and timing the pin that pushes down and locks into place. Nearly impossible and took over two hours, lost pins, broken link and broken tool tip. They should send instructions, extra links and extra pins for anything that got lost. Luckily I removed enough links to gather the materials to build it. The band is great and looks fantastic but I don't think it's worth the hassle. There was a lot of trouble. Guidance and warning would be nice.
