A while ago I bought a wig that didn't have bobby pins, just an elastic band at the back that needs to be pulled to tighten. It doesn't protect much which is why I never wore it. Finally bought wig clips and these combs. I sewed two clips on the front of the wig, one on each side of this comb, which I sewed in the middle with the "prongs" to the back. The clips work well but they pull on my hair, very uncomfortable and bad for my hair. Although my hair is very thin, the comb holds well and doesn't pull on my hair like clips. The comb is secure enough that I don't need the two front clips and I will remove them. I don't wear a wig often, but I plan to sew one or two of these combs in the back and if they work just as well in the back as they do in the front, I'll remove the back clips as well. I was very surprised that these combs work as well as they do and am very happy with this purchase.
