Battery explosion

One star does not reflect how much I like the device, but rather the potential risk of a battery fire. First of all I have been using this device for almost 3 months and I really liked it. It met my expectations for a small remote speaker for watching TV. When I was watching TV tonight (10/26/2020), what I would call a mini-explosion happened in the device. If you know anything about lithium batteries, then you probably know that they can have two different catastrophic failures. Both usually start with a rapid expansion of the battery, with the strongest ending in a fire. The second can release gas, causing expansion to stop before reaching critical mass and stopping before igniting. The second is what happened to my device. Although there was no fire, the expansion shattered the battery case and ripped the battery cover off the device. It happened about 2-3 meters from my head. After recovering from the shock just feet away, I found the battery (still hot to the touch) and lid on the floor. I'm not writing this review for any reason, but to warn users of possible dangers and to regularly inspect the battery and if you see the battery swell, take it out of the house. I won't change the battery, mine will just get used to being plugged in.
