My 2.5 year old daughter became interested in dinosaurs and fell in love with them at a playdate. So I bought them for her for Christmas and they were her favorite gift that day! Ten months later, she still remembers that "Santa" brought it to her. She plays with them every day, sometimes even sleeps with them. Sometimes they growl, sometimes they kiss and hug. But she loves them as family members and they are her favorite toys when we are not at home and I need to keep them busy. Although she hasn't learned all the names herself, she knows a few, and other family members have learned them all. Definitely educational! They are very durable and large. I don't recall any problems with the smell when they were new and if there were any they were long gone. They are absolutely odorless as far as I can tell. And I have a super mommy scent that can keep picking up a dirty diaper and other bad smells from multiple rooms LOL! After all, she loves them all equally except for the T-Rex, which is her favorite. Now she is 3.5 years old and has not lost her interest in them. I highly recommend them for both boys and girls!
