The Apple Pencil stand is well designed and stowed firmly in a secure holder along with a lid and charging adapter. Other pen holders may have a loop but no storage for the cap or adapter. What happens after a few months is the front cover comes off, some Elmer and it's tight again I think. That minor issue aside, I love the pod holder. Non-slip material on the outside makes it easy to grab and hold. I've had other cases that slipped out of my hand or were too slippery to hang. After I've glued the joints and layers, it's a good base.
