*** UPDATED 05/04/20 TO SAY the plastic wrap on the outside of the tube is gone. I bought the Black Lavender to compare to the White Lavender that I love so much and it comes with a paper security sticker instead of a plastic wrap! HOORAY! ***I ordered my first stick of this deodorant at the beginning of October 2019 and after 6 months it is still not used up. In fact, I think I have 1-2 months left. I can use MUCH less than my old "natural" deodorants, which lasted 2-3 months max each and cost $8-10 each. I was skeptical ordering such an expensive deodorant stick but it turned out to be cheaper than the one I had used before! This is mainly because the deodorant lasts 2 days before I have to reapply it. I'm also glad that it has a scent and doesn't give me a rash. I have very sensitive skin and am allergic to all artificial fragrances I've come into contact with, so this is a welcome change! I convinced my husband to try this too and he loved the Black Rogue version. I also tried it as White Lavender can give your clothes a slight white color right after it's applied (even when rubbed in). This is easy to avoid and doesn't bother me, but I wanted to try one of the black versions so I can make informed decisions in the future. Personally, I didn't like the Black Rogue version that much. It smelled MUCH stronger to me (lavender, bergamot, and mint oils versus just lavender in a white lavender stick) and didn't seem to last that long. To be honest I felt overwhelmed by the scent and only tried it for a few days before deciding it was my husband's so it might get better over time if I stick with it. Now that the temperature is up to its full Texas Heat glory, we can confirm that we can both reach the point where we're "drenched in sweat" and still not smelly. MARVELOUS! Like many others, I wasn't thrilled that this product was wrapped in plastic wrap. Compared to the plastic tubes I used to buy (I would have bought 2-3 by now!), the plastic security seal wrapped around a strong paper tube that I can compost when empty is a huge improvement. I think it's important to remember that unless you're buying locally from someone who makes their products by hand, it's VERY difficult to order something that has never generated waste. Hell, even then there would be no guarantee that the seller didn't order something made out of plastic to make what you bought. Focusing on things we can control is key; For example, the fact that losses are *reduced* by our buying decisions has a big effect in the long run. The perfection of "Zero Waste" is too arrogant for most. I hope this company finds a way to "securely seal" these tubes without plastic in the future; maybe with tape? I also sincerely hope to find her locally one day! Keep growing Primal Life - we need more companies like you! :)
