I have had three projectors in my life. Viewsonic, Epson and a 3M 720p mini projector. I've used them for presentations at meetings, watching movies, and playing games. In short, based on my experience, I highly recommend the JIMTAB M18. I've done my research. I spent hours looking at YouTube reviews of about 20 budget Chinese projectors before settling on this one. What attracted me to this model was the common denominator. everyone seemed to like this projector. They have good reasons for that! Here's what I like: 1) Fairly bright. When presenting in a well-lit room with the blinds open and the lights on, text and graphics remain crisp and legible. With the lights off, the picture is phenomenal. I know there are cheaper native 1080p projectors out there at Revain, but what ends up suffering? Would you sacrifice deep blacks for a higher LUX rating? Would you give up color fidelity? I find the contrast and color rendering of this model excellent. Blacks look black in a darkened room. Colors appear natural and even.2) The fan is quite quiet. I'm used to hearing fan noise when using projectors. I feel like many reviewers who complain about fan noise on these projectors don't have the experience to form an opinion. It's not the loudest projector I've ever owned, nor the quietest. I've had PC power supplies that were louder. 3) The speaker is loud enough and the sound is good enough. You shouldn't rely on a projector for high-quality audio, and this projector is no exception. Perfect for presentations, watching YouTube, etc. I recommend a separate audio solution for watching movies and listening to music. The speaker is clearly audible above the fan.4) The picture quality is very good. After various screen tests, I can confirm that I am positively surprised by the picture quality. I ran these tests using an 82-inch white projection screen in a darkened (but not completely dark) room. I noticed a slight blurring around the edges of the screen and a slight dimming of the brightness around the edges. I see this in common with all the projectors I've used. I suppose you can buy thousands of dollars worth of projectors that don't have these issues, but I'm happy to save that money for something else. With manual keystone control, I noticed some image distortion at the top and bottom and more variation in image focus, but generally within acceptable limits for my use. That this one costs less than $250 but offers features typically found on brand name projectors are costing $300-$400 more is impressive. projectors, you should seriously consider this one. let's be real You can't compare this to a $1,000 projector, and neither should you. This is the right projector for business presentations in environments where you can control the lighting. This is the right projector for a child's room. This is the right projector for a backyard movie party. This is the go-to projector for watching TV and movies until you can afford to upgrade to a $1,000 system.
