Review on LEGO Architecture Skyline Collection Building Building Toys in Building Sets by Marcus Krieger

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Elegant display; Educational and fun to build

I'm a big fan of the Lego Architectural range and have bought and built most of the sets. I especially like the Skyline series. These kits are labeled 12+, but they are clearly intended for more mature builders, which I am one of. However, if you're considering buying one of these kits for educational purposes, you'll be delighted. Each set contains iconic landmarks from a world famous city. The builds themselves are complex and extremely detailed given the limited space. A special plus is the high-quality building instructions booklet, which goes into detail about the attractions. You are guaranteed to learn something. The weakness of these elegant notebooks is that, with a few exceptions, they do not lie flat. All sets are elegant and suitable for presentation. The real bonus is that since the sets are so narrow, they're relatively easy to display. For example, most sets easily fit on a bookshelf in front of books. The New York skyline set includes the Flatiron Building, the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building and the World Trade Center Building.
