Review on Sony - C400 Wireless Behind-Neck In Ear Headphone White (WIC400/W) by Kim Chong ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

The bluetooth voice transmission fell short of my expectations, thus I deducted a star. Except from that minor issue, it's a fantastic headset for the office and urban travel. The set includes a plethora of ear pads, which (t-t-t) are not lost with every clumsy motion but do get turned inside out. Although many have complained about the layout of the device's buttons, I've found them to be both well-designed and easy to use right from the start.

Pros
  • Comfort while donning. I like that the headphones are compact, and all the functioning component is concealed in the rim; I can wear them comfortably year-round, over or under clothing or scarves. When I use headphones, I never have to worry that they will "fall out, fall" because of my hair or earrings, which I am constantly adjusting. After many days of continuous office use on a full charge, headphones quickly become contaminated; Everything is good with the music as it is, with the volume turned up and some soundproofing; this is one area where Sony typically diverges from the competition. The NFC connection was a buzz. Time on the phone, with lights on and cables attached. For a whole year of frequent wearing, excursions, and not to say that careful attitude, they have not lost their appearance in the least; my only issue was 100% buzz only when I had a Sony (Z5) phone, but it stopped happening once I switched to a Huawei (p20 pro).
Cons
  • The headset's audio quality is much lower than that of a regular phone call when used as a headset, and the answer button will only activate for GMS calls. Messenger calls are answered (muting music is suspended and the chat continues) and responses are given via the screen. Only Sony phones have a reliable NFC connection.
