Review on Razer Kishi V2 Mobile Gaming Controller And Opus X Wireless Low Latency Headset Bundle For Android by Julie Watkins

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Better than the first model

This is V2 of the Razer Kashi. Having spent an extended amount of time with the first, this at first look is an upgrade. Then you get to use it.The unit feels smaller than the original, in fact it is. There is a smoother feel, which makes it a little hard to handle. The stiff retractable back makes it feel sturdier when the phone is connected. The original often felt like it was going to break my phone. With that said this is where the issues arise. You can not have a case on to use this. I have a Samsung S22 Ultra, and I tried three cases. Official Leather, Spiegen thin and Samsung official silicone case. There are internal rubber grips that can be changed to allow thicker phones or phones with cases. Except the UBS C port can't connect when a case is on. It just isn't long enough. The sticks are smaller but the buttons feel better. Two steps forward one step back. I gave the first 3 stars, and I would give the followup 3 1/2, but I can't on this site. This is not a 4 star controller, so 3 stars it is. I will continue to use it as my upgrade, but I will be looking for its replacement. I will not be using the Razor Kishi V3 when that comes around unless major changes are made.
