I bought this for my RV because I wanted a pure sine wave inverter big enough to run my coffee maker and portable air conditioner in the summer. I tested this inverter on a bench with a coffee maker and a few other items and it seems to be working fine. The inverter alone draws 1.5 amps when nothing is plugged in, and the coffee maker drew 70 amps, draining two of my golf cart batteries with no problem. As soon as I get a chance to run it at higher power I'll come back and update this if it doesn't work as advertised. I read the only previous review that came up after I placed my order so I was a bit apprehensive waiting for mine to arrive to see if things were as bad as he said they were. I think the previous 1 star rating is too critical. The device is better than what it claims and while it's probably not the best on the market, it's a good device for the price I paid for it and so far I'm happy with it. The remote control is a nice feature. Note that you must actually turn off the inverter's main switch for the remote switch to work properly. At first I thought that the remote control doesn't turn the inverter off and on, but if you turn off the inverter and then use the remote control, it works fine. Yes, you have to put a sticker on the front of the remote so it seemed a bit dodgy at first, especially after reading another review, but once I've attached it and set it up, it's fine and it works. This is by design and works as advertised. Aside from the fact that you have to apply the decal yourself I don't see any problems with it and it's a nice feature. If I save labor by applying the decal myself, I get a better price, no matter what. A bit surprised when you first look at it and see the sticker and plastic remote, but it works and looks good once the sticker is applied. Overall I'm happy with the device and think it does what it's advertised to do. do it for a reasonable price. If it works with my air conditioner and holds up to everyday use I will come back and give this unit 5 stars. For now I think it's good value for the price I paid for it. Update: I've used my 1500w heat gun with no problems. Turned it on immediately and I worked for 5 minutes with no problems. It drew about 130 amps DC from the battery, so you need a good battery to use it, but my two 6v golf cart batteries had no problem. If I'm drawing anything over 1500 watts, I plan on running my alternator in tandem. I think this device lives up to what has been advertised so far.
