It was easy to assemble for over the door use. My daughter is 5ft so I put in the screws at a lower height so she can reach everything. There is also plenty of space to hold her jewelry, hair clips, skin care and lotion. She says that opening the door is scary when it is hanging on the door because it would pull off a little bit. We used the provided velcro meant for wall installations to hold down the bottom of the mirror so it does not move when opening the door. You should still be careful when opening the door though.
