Review on Symphonized Wraith 2.0 Bluetooth Wireless Headphones with Genuine Walnut Wood Finish, Includes 3.5mm Cable for Wired Use by Jerry Peebler

Revainrating 3 out of 5

This is a love-hate relationship.

I bought these shoes for my 18 year old son less than two months ago. He uses them every day and loves them. They are either on the head, neck or charger. We chose this headset for its rugged looks. The metal band that connects the headphones and the metal head size adjustment attracted attention. So far they have not disappointed us. The plastic earbuds only last a few months, after which they have to be replaced as they start to break. A week ago he mentioned that the noise level in his left ear had decreased and sounded noticeably quieter. I tried them and encountered the same complaint. Slight shaking of the device revealed a rattling noise, as if something had come loose in the left ear cup. I went to Symphonized's website via the link on the Revain order screen and filed a warranty claim with the manufacturer. Their site said claims would be processed within 24 hours and they would notify me on how to proceed. I am now on the seventh day of making this claim and the only message I received from them was the first email saying they had received my claim and will be in touch with you shortly. SO! I rated this product 5 stars for noise cancellation because my son can't hear anything, I yell at him when he puts these headphones on. I'm deducting 3 stars for the sound quality. It would be 5 if the left earcup continued to work the way we got it. They still work, but because of the difference in sound, my son just doesn't want to wear them, and now I have a $95 paperweight on my desk. Full stars for battery life. He can hear them all day with no problems. Overall I give this product three stars. I deducted 1 star for them just two months before the internal problem. I took off 2 stars because the warranty claim page said 24 hours and I had silence for a week. I understand everyone is currently understaffed so this could be a delay but it would be great to state this on their website or even send another auto generated message saying they haven't forgotten me. The silence just sounds like a message that they don't care. I added a star for the OUTDOOR durability of the device because I feel the product is very well designed. I will note that at the time it worked this way my child was happy with how it was actually said to be and would like to give it another chance if nothing happens with the warranty claim. I'm just hesitant to spend the money again, fearing the next set might only last a few months, too.
