Cool stuff! The instructions are also easy to understand. The timer is either 45 minutes (the LED is blue on the backpack or whatever you call it on the astronaut!) or 90 minutes is red, or press and hold to turn it off. Nebula above and stars below on the remote control. S stands for speed, and I think you can also say rotation! There are five levels where the whole way down is silent and only changes color. (Assuming you didn't press the Nebula button and change the color manually.) To go back to the default color change, just hold the button to turn it off. Then short press to turn it back on and it will revert to default settings. B+ and B- work with the Nebula brightness in almost the same way. I can't see any change from the default, but if you select Nebula you can definitely see a difference in brightness. The stars behave the same way. Long press to turn it off, short press to turn it back on. S- and S+ are the breathing rates of the stars. You also have five stages. When you go to level 0, the stars stay on. This is the best scene to see how brightness affects the stars. If you use B+ fully some stars will look like they have this north star cross! The backpack has 3 buttons. The middle is power. Long press to turn off. The one on the left pretends to be an astronaut and alters the nebula, while the one on the right cycles through the breathing rate of the stars. It's so simple and yet so beautiful! The only thing that can make it better is choosing sounds to help you fall asleep! I really like how easy it is to manage. I can't tell you how much I would have loved this as a kid! If I could travel through time and give myself one of these? I'll be honest...I would probably tell my friends that I found a spaceman who can open dimensions in other galaxies and turn it on to scare them! But I need to bring my power adapter. This thing only has one USB cable. Also note, if your little friend starts leaning backwards, try rotating the base around his feet. I have found that flipping the shaft makes a huge difference! Beware of the head that can detach. It's nice to be able to move it around to position it however you like, but it's just the magnets holding it together. You can remove it, but the manual doesn't suggest it because you could break the wires. Of course I had to raise my head to see.
