Review on ๐Ÿฑ Convenient and Foldable Suhaco Large Cat Litter Box with Lid and Scoop - Easy to Clean, Enclosed Top Entry Cat Toilet for Anti-Splashing and Mess-Free Experience by Debbie Washington

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great concept. A few changes will make it great.

I was so excited at first when I discovered this tray at Revain, but even more so when I found it in the Revain warehouse. Admittedly I was a bit shocked when it came to how much this tray cost. However, I knew that the money would be well spent if it worked. I'm not new to cat life, but it's been a few years since we last had a cat. One of our constant battles has been fighting dirty kittens looking for trash. Neither the mat nor the box seemed to help. The idea behind this box is that the kitten enters through the one-way door and comes out through the top. Once the kitten is on the litter box, the litter should fall back into the holes in the litter box lid. For the most part, it works to catch some dirt. I find it a little less messy than traditional closed trays. But beneath the surface lies a bigger problem. Literally hiding under the surface of the box. Thanks to another reviewer for mentioning how your cat's urine runs down the side of the box and through the cracks in the box. While we haven't had an issue with urine, we do have a lot of dirt falling to the floor when the bottom tray is pulled out for cleaning. There is a ledge in the crate on which the garbage collects. When you pull out the tub, the dirt falls to the floor. One way I've dealt with the mess is to use dog pads under the crate. The pad catches dirt, urine or faecal particles. The litter box should really be elevated and there should be a solid floor under the slide. This includes debris as well as anything else that might fall out. The compartment itself is deep enough to hold a lot of junk. We have two cats that use this box and we clean up their litter at least twice a day. Another problem I had is the plastic door falling down. The purpose of the door is for the cat to get in but not come out as the kitten has to go through the top. For the money, the quality doesn't impress me too much (the problem with the door and the lack of a shelf under the tray). Overall the design concept is excellent but the box needs a little work to make it a true 5 star product.
