Very happy with this fan kit. I'm sure I voided the warranty by taking it apart to find where the wires go inside. Then I drilled some holes in the base and installed it on the lower ceiling in my RV. The goal is to move the heat. These fans are nice and quiet. They draw about 0.6A on low and 1.2A on high. They move the air very well. I think they will be a real plus when summer comes. I'm sure they were never intended to be ceiling mounted, but they work great in this application with a little modification. Just watch the wires at the base where you did what I did so you don't hit them. They walk everywhere. wire was too long. But I decided to wrap it up and hide it for now. I can trim later if I decide to leave the fans where they are installed.
