This pump was a good replacement for the stock pump which failed after 14 years on my Bayliner boat. There is one important secret that is not listed in the instruction manual that came with the pump. Namely, you can adjust the pressure switch by removing the small cap at the end of the pump and adjusting the screw underneath. My pump pulsed intermittently when the water was running and I was about to take it off and put it back on when I came across a UK website that explained how to set the switch. I removed the cap and experimented for about ten minutes and voila, the pump works perfectly.
