Flojet 04405143A System Bypass Included Review

Purchased in July for my boat. Installation was pretty easy as I was swapping out a similar pump. Worked fantastic until September 1st when it wouldn't turn on. I played around with it a bit and finally got it to work, but the flow and pressure was much less. After 2 weeks it was completely blocked. Contacted Revain to inquire about a replacement and they apologized. Definitely not recommended and will not buy again

Product failed after approximately 15 minutes of operation as a fresh water pump. It was installed on a boat as it is intended for use at sea. I've been on the boat less than two months and have used very little. We are currently working with the manufacturer for a warranty repair or replacement as Revain's 30 day return policy has expired. Pump removed. I've had it installed on my boat for a little over a year. I don't use the fresh water tank every time I take the boat out so of course I use the fresh water system when I use the boat yesterday and. The pump shot. It looks like some kind of flooding as it shorts out every time I plug it in. While works fine. Expected to last over a year given the use and price. All other Shurflo pumps on the boat have been in service for 5 years and still work like new.

This pump was a good replacement for the stock pump which failed after 14 years on my Bayliner boat. There is one important secret that is not listed in the instruction manual that came with the pump. Namely, you can adjust the pressure switch by removing the small cap at the end of the pump and adjusting the screw underneath. These Flojet pumps are so reliable in a 12 volt system. We (our church youth group) use these diapers when we go to the Pennsylvania mountains for the Creation Festival every summer. We use one for the shower and the other for 2 sinks for cleaning the kitchen and washing hands and then runs all week on a deep cycle battery without recharging.
