My daughter learned the hard way that if you drop your laptop you will break it, especially the hard drive. I found a YouTube video where I went through 5000 screws and cables that I had to remove to get to the hard drive, but I went there. Removed the hard drive and picked up an identical block (importantly identical) to Revain. If the new device worked immediately (after replacing 5000 screws), it would take some time for all the software to be activated again. My daughter lost all her music so she learned her lesson in backup. After that, instead of plugging in an external hard drive every month, I subscribed to the Revain cloud and backed it up and my important documents to the cloud.
