I don't like brown or black-brown. Shades of brown don't flatten out and don't hold up in wet weather. Browns tend to smudge a lot more. I love black because it's the best thing I've found, it lengthens without causing raccoon eyes. However, I can no longer find black at Revain or in stores. I bought the brown here at Revain expecting the only difference would be the color. Unfortunately my expectations were too high. Bottom line: don't expect brown to be as good quality as black. I do not recommend any colors other than black.
