Dancer's Opinion on Shoes
I am a ballet dancer and I have to say that buying them to dance is not a good idea. Please, and I cannot stress this enough, buy your pointe shoes professionally and from a trusted company (Russian Pointe Shoes, Capezio, etc.). I bought them for a costume so I don't have to throw away my real pointe shoes. They were nice and sturdy enough for that, I could stand on them and do some basic movements, but long-term use of these dance shoes is sure to hurt your feet.
