Broke down with little to no wear

The piece of plastic that holds the laces to the boot is not sewn on, so the shoe cannot be tightened at all. My son has only worn these shoes a few times because we kept them as his "good shoes". But it's too late to go back. I usually love Adidas clothes and shoes.
