I asked the electrician to add an outlet but he decided to put it where there used to be a fallen towel rail and I haven't replaced it yet. I bought this product to essentially bring a new outlet closer to a vanity full of plug-in items: electric toothbrushes, a razor, and a spare. I also bought this to add USB outlets to this space so I could plug my phone into a small plastic shelf that I would put next to it so I could use it sometimes to hold it at that angle so I could comfortably watch videos bath. Well this product works like a charm. It has a switch to turn on/off all outlets and USB so you can charge only when you want to. And yes, in case you're wondering, I untied the rat from the strings and finally installed a new and much better towel rail that's better suited to a shared bathroom.
