I had trouble setting it up at first. The instructions were short and vague, just explaining how to operate the button. I had to go back to the Amazon listing to figure out how to put it together (and I found you also have to soak a long, thin piece of cotton). It also took me a long time to figure out how to attach the lid. To secure, continue turning clockwise until it clicks into place. However, the lid doesn't feel very secure and I'm not sure I'd want to keep it next to the electronics on my desk. The actual fog removal feature works flawlessly. I've tried both interval and constant and I like both. It's almost silent in my office and doesn't bother anyone. What disappoints me the most are the light modes. I really wanted the bright lighting to add a nice vibe to my drab table, but the rainbow lights move FAST. It's not a relaxing spectacle, more disco and visually distracting when I turn on these modes in the office. Instead, I leave it on a solid white, which is perfectly fine, but not necessarily cozy. This is a decent budget humidifier for the office, but it does require additional instructions and if you're buying it for cozy lighting you may be disappointed.
