MB E350 W212 High Beam: Requires Adapter

UPDATE: Based on further research, my car requires a specific H7 adapter. It took a little work to level and get into those hard-to-reach places. Once installed, the results are exactly what you would expect - bright white light penetrating the night. It looks like AUXITO is now aware of this issue and has started enabling a notification for the new H7 LEDs. Since I really like the Auxito (H11) LED headlights on my motorcycle, it's almost instinctive to buy another set to replace the high beam on my wife's car. . H7 is the right lamp setup now, but I'm sorry to say that it MAY NOT fit every car. The main unit has a twist lock to secure the "vehicle specific strike plate". Unfortunately the LED's aluminum housing is too wide to fit on the plate that came with their car (see photo for comparison). The plate can be modified for Auxito LED, but I prefer not to mess with original parts, especially on foreign cars. There are other great products that are plug and play. Another potential hazard comes from the included H7 headlight cable extension. You may need an extension cord for a variety of reasons (e.g. the factory plug may not match the LED plugs). However, I am deeply disappointed to see that these wires are cheap and not weatherproof compared to the main units. Headlamps should not be considered interior items. You may be able to escape if your headlight assembly is properly sealed (but we all know seals have a mind of their own). Bottom line, when built like the H11 on my bike, I have no doubt that they will be as bright as daylight. . Just do your research and understand the risks before you buy.
