I was very pleased with this device, but unfortunately the excitement didn't last long. After filling the water tank to the MAX level, I left it on for several hours last night and as it blows air I couldn't help but think it must be colder. I also made sure the pump's water distribution level is also set to MAX. When I woke up this morning, I rolled the unit into my hot office/studio (which is why I bought it in the first place), placed it in front of an open window, put the unit on high speed and installed it. cooling down. A few hours later I felt again that it must be colder; It feels like a conventional fan is pushing hot air into the room. After a while I turned off the device, unplugged it and inspected the paper filter on the back. The filter material was completely dry! I then removed the four screws and removed the filter assembly for further inspection; It was definitely completely dry after a few hours of use, and it lacked a charcoal filter, which made the injury worse (according to the manual). Then I turned the tester back on with no filter media installed, set it to cool and saw that no water entered the top of the filter media compartment. At this point it is clear that either the pump is not working or there is some other problem. I should have known there was a problem when the water level didn't go down after walking all day and a half. Also, I tried calling Honeywell only to find out they weren't open until Monday. I really hope that I can solve this problem quickly by repairing or replacing this faulty device. I have to give this cooler "1 star" because I can give a "0". When the problem is solved I will change my rating!
