I did not buy two of these from Amazon. There are serious quality issues, design limitations, software bugs, possible viruses, and many other issues. The company has the worst support I have seen in years. I expressly do not recommend this product. Definitely not for protection. And maybe not for HAM to work. And probably not for recreational use. The extra watts appealed to me, but didn't increase the range. This is also false advertising and false documentation regarding the range of frequencies you are getting. Check out my other reviews to vouch for my trust. Stay away from this product. This is not a personal complaint, this is my professional opinion based on considerable radio, software and technology experience.
