Great for multiple uses

I bought these from two companies. The edges around the top looked like they would match, and they did. Here it is cheaper and it is the same. They are great for portion control. I buy a lot of frozen fruit, bananas, apples, vegetables, yogurt and make smoothies. You can write on them and they'll stay in the freezer, but they'll freshen up if you scrub them with some soap and water, which is great. I've used about 3 or more times so far. Cracks appeared on the pair, but I dropped one during freezing. I don't mind because they are cheap, they are stronger than I hoped. I filled one with water, turned it upside down and after a few hours it was leaking a bit. I don't expect a perfect seal, but I rode them 4.5 miles to work with them in my backpack, and even though I keep them in a gallon bag, the smoothie hasn't leaked yet. Lids are tight. I also use them for portioning and freezing veggies, which makes them quicker and more motivated to prep or make veg blends that I like. The leftover chicken, beef broth, and tomato sauce are sent to the freezer. Dried noodles or portions of rice. Cook the giant stew in the pressure cooker of your choice and freeze it. Another application is general preparation. Use it as a container for measuring portions on the scale. Keep your change in one, I don't microwave them because I want them to last longer. I've had a couple of times but you will notice residue typical of microwaving in plastic containers. It's okay, I still prefer the microwave in the jar. I hand wash them too. I am happy with these containers and will be buying more.
