I ordered these to prepare frozen postpartum meals. I have a freezer and I have food with a newborn and the family is comfortable so these containers will suffice. The ones I received didn't have any weird smell or smell of plastic. I've found that they actually leak if I fill them too high. So I'm just making sure not to fill in a certain point. LOVE in a small container! i really love it so much They are well made of thick, durable plastic. They won't last forever but I have to say we've put them through the food grinder, dishwashers, backpacks, sinks etc and they hold up to it all. I mainly use these for freezing ingredients and meals that I cook in bulk. On arrival one cup was broken at the top and the bottom was glued to the cup below, so there were 2 cups visibly damaged at once. The third cup had a crack in the bottom making it unsuitable for liquids and anything else that needs to be sealed. I bought these from two companies. The edges around the top looked like they would match, and they did. Here it is cheaper and it is the same. They are great for portion control. I buy a lot of frozen fruit, bananas, apples, vegetables, yogurt and make smoothies.
