Despite claims this pot is too deep and narrow to fry a steak (maybe a hamburger) in it. However, it cooks well and you could probably make scrambled eggs if you heat the pot slowly. There is only one heating circuit suitable for liquids but not ideal for solids. I was very happy to find an electric pot steamer and even happier that the steamer was stainless steel and not just non-stick. The streamer and lid fit the pot well and the pot is well made overall. I don't find the handle particularly comfortable because it's wide and angular. I'm sensitive to such things - YMMV.
