I bought this carrier mainly because it is transparent. My kittens are both black and because of their coloration it's difficult to check them with a quick glance in a regular carrier when I take them to the vet or back because they blend into the shadows. With this carrier, I can easily see how they feel inside a carrier while driving just by looking at them. When I received the transport box, the clear plastic was already scratched in several places, even though it was in a plastic bag. One of the zippers broke after about 2 weeks so I had to attach a piece of string to use as a zipper. I always leave it assembled and then just open or close one of the side doors as needed, but it doesn't close smoothly or easily. of which seemed pretty robust. My pets are 2 young kittens who just turned 3 months old so they don't weigh that much. I don't know how well it will support the weight of an adult or large cat. I love how the entire transport box can be folded to reduce the footprint. I'm not worried about folding it yet because I take my kitties quite a lot of vet visits, but as they get older and don't see the vet as often I can fold it up in the closet without taking up a lot of space. There were no issues with the top handle and straps. The carrier is a little longer than I expected and works well allowing me to put both kittens in at the same time. I want the vent holes on the sides of the beam to be about 2 inches higher. They're fine anywhere, but sometimes putting a really thick blanket or pillow in a cat carrier bag will partially cover them. Not a big deal as the pet carrier doors will snag, but more airflow by moving the air holes up would be better. Can I recommend this transport box to everyone? Yes. Would I buy it again? Yes. It's not a great van, but it gets the job done and does what I need it to do while being inexpensive and holding up reasonably well.
