Well, first things first - it works. Installation was as simple as popping it in to a 2.5" 7mm SSD (an old one I had lying around), using the four screws provided and a screwdriver to secure it, then popping it in the case of my T430s. Once installed, I was able to browse files and treat it as an available block device with no fuss or problems. However, there were a few problems! , which is odd considering I took out the CD drive! Eventually this noise stopped after a while but it was confusing. Another quirk was that it was HARD to pull out. The third picture is the slide out mechanism, a small push slide along with a push-in latch. That was difficult, especially considering how secure the drive is in the ThinkPad. If you're trying to install a 9mm drive there, then good luck. All in all it works! It was pretty easy to install and a nice toy to add to my collection. I recommend it simply because it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd like to see is an additional cover for the top of the SSD or some sort of tape to hold labels/rip cords. I used a piece of tape to hold mine.
