FINALLY, an affordable mini dock with the features you need. A USB to HDMI video extender and an additional USB 3.0 port. I have an Asus T100-TA Transformer Book which I like but I think its micro HDMI port is bad so I couldn't expand my desktop. I have a more expensive Kensington Dock at work that easily expands to dual monitors, so I was looking for a cheaper version for the home and this fit the bill. My Asus only has a USB 3.0 port, so after connecting this dock I needed an extra USB port for my mouse. I don't need ethernet, 3 more usb ports, another monitor extender etc for home use. That was excellent! I took my Asus to work and hooked it up to the Kensington to download the "Display Link Core Softwareβ and it was VERY buggy, I thought I lost my monitor so I hard booted the Asus and that was it in order. This device uses the same software, so I was ready to go. Make sure you have the latest version of DisplayLink installed for this to work as this is a common problem with many USB to HDMI/DVI converters and docking stations.
