Having recently purchased the Htzsafe 1/4 Mile Solar Driveway Sensor Kit and been very happy with it I decided to buy this unit (1/2 mile!) and get some more coverage for my long time to get ride. Six hours of my life went there that I will never get back (and that is before returning the device). Created a good mount for the device and then spent several hours climbing trees, driving to and from the house to test, trying to find the distance this thing would work. I finally found this distance which is even closer than the 1/4 mile distance I already set! Oh, and in case you're wondering if this isn't a terrain issue: I tried mounting it on the same tree as 1/4 mile, right above, and nada. And $10 more than the other. so sad.
