A few weeks ago we got new furniture. Before this set we had faux leather furniture and cats didn't try to scratch this set. We got a new set home and started hearing one of our cats trying to sharpen her claws on it. I mean, I'm sure it looks like a giant scratching post from their point of view. I immediately started looking for a solution to our problem. I ordered a scratching post, a scratching post hammock and these tapes. Our Gracie has nothing to do with the scratching posts. The only thing that put her off was duct tape. The pack contained 8 transparent double-sided tapes on white wax paper. They're big enough to cover the corner of her hand where she tried to scratch. I've had them for about a week now. She's only tried to scratch a few times since we dressed her. I wanted to see if there were any stains left on the couch after a week so I peeled off the stain and it's gone for now. I would say I would NOT wear them on leather or faux leather. I see them leaving marks or peeling off the top of the faux leather. I am completely satisfied and can only recommend this product.
