This bike hook is very easy to assemble. It comes with the necessary hardware. The spikes hold the bike very securely and have a lip on the edge to keep the frame from slipping. I expect it to last for many years with heavy use. I have the downside that it fits 2 out of 3 of our bikes. My daughter's mountain bike fits in well. It has a very thin frame without many extras, so there is room between the crossbar to hang this bike on a hook. My husband's bike, which is taller, has a wider frame but still fits due to the tall bar on his bike and handlebar position. My bike doesn't fit. I have a small 17 inch hybrid frame. The clearance between the crossbar, drum brake cables and dropped handlebars (yes I'm short lol) is very tight on this frame making it too compact to hit the hook. .The handlebar is hitting the wall and there just isn't enough room. Would I buy this item again? For the quality alone and the fact that it fits perfectly on a couple of our bikes, absolutely. But I have to buy a separate hook system for my specific bike frame.
