Best $21 I've ever spent on anything. Is always. I have moderate scoliosis accompanied by moderate and constant lower back pain. I've learned that the real source of my pain is severe muscle knots. A deep tissue massage gives me some relief, but who has the time and money to see a professional every day? The Gaiam Pinpoint Back Massager does EXACTLY what I need! It has only one ball and a perfectly shaped hook for lumbar massage. I feel "so good" when I find the knots and untie them until I literally feel the tension release. You must be prepared to be patient while tying the knots, but if one of them comes undone you can literally feel the difference. I've seen other half-dozen ball hooks in various configurations. Overkill in my opinion and they can make it difficult to actually manage the device. This thing is strong. I've found that to get really deep, I can lie on my back on the ball and work my bodyweight deep on it. I've had this massager for about 10 days and have found that the more I use it, the more the nodules dissolve and disappear semi-permanently. I have way less knots than 10 days ago! Highly recommend if you have muscle knots. I wish I had known that many years ago. In combination with a heating pad, my wife almost no longer has to walk on my back. I say "almost" because I still love it when my wife walks on my back. Also women. When your husband calls you "his wife," this thing works great for smacking him over the head.
