The holes in the upper structure were misaligned. PLEASE check before assembly

I love this dish rack. But I'm posting this to warn others and save from some disappointment. I just bought a set of AllClad skillets and saucepans so I decided to protect them from scratches. My first two purchases of table coasters were unsuccessful (they didn't fit the size of the pan) so I decided to buy this coaster. I built it carefully and after over an hour of hard work I had just finished the 5th layer - the penultimate layer (there are 6 of them) when I discovered that the holes weren't drilled correctly and the 5th layer was badly beveled. I was so tired after such a grueling build job that I just wanted it to work. So I decided to do the last layer and see if I could handle it. As you will see in the photos - no hope! The potty on the 5th and 6th layer is crooked - on the 5th layer there is a risk that the potty will slip off and break on the child's head. The seller responded and sent a return label. But I'm very upset because I lost 2 weeks, hard work and disappointed expectations. Lesson for everyone: they won't tell you to do this BUT when you receive your package, before you start building according to the instructions, take a few minutes and place long poles nearby. CHECK and ensure all drilled holes are perfectly aligned. If so, continue with the assembly. If not, you saved your fingers 2 hours of pain and your head a lot of frustration. Suppose you do the final quality control. Now I have to start dismantling and repacking the whole building to send it back. I just want to drill through the metal and keep the stand otherwise I like it.

Pros
  • Household and kitchen
Cons
  • Waiting too long
