I switched to this knee brace after using the ASA Tri-Fold that we all start with. Everything was fine with my previous knee brace. He has held up great after 2 years at school and 2 years in the professional world. However, I need a smaller board that fits in my travel bag and the Tri-Fold will get in the way of the King Air rocker due to the low rocker position, size of my feet and being oversized. Aluminum backplate size. Today I climb into the cockpit with knee pads and an iPad and like to travel light. This knee brace does everything my previous one did, just in a smaller size. I am very happy with it. A NOTICE. The leg strap is not as long as the ASA so it fits snugly around my leg. I'm a much taller physique than most, but the velcro is REALLY good at keeping the board in place. And I mean REALLY REALLY good.
