Works as it should - Subaru Impreza 2013

These are just thin pieces of aluminum that look cool on your pedals. You need to drill holes to install them. The hardware that comes with it (bolts and nylon locknuts) is pretty cheap. I removed the first nut I used and didn't use too much force. I was able to use the rest but I suspect they will be difficult to remove if I ever decide to replace them. The following installation tips apply primarily to the 2013 Subaru Impreza, but should apply to most if not all vehicles. The device will work better if you remove the gas pedal. This assembly on my car is made entirely of plastic. Since the pedal is narrower than the other 3, the metal cover needs to hang down from the right side of the pedal for it to screw in, otherwise you can only use 1 screw. I didn't want to do that so I glued a metal cover onto the pedal and used a screw. It seems to be holding up. On other pedals I drilled two holes without removing them. I had to use 90 degree pliers to hold the nuts while I tightened the bolts. It's just something to think about. They work very well. They have good grip, which I like. I haven't tried riding with wet soles, but I don't think it will affect traction much. The gas pedal is much closer to the brake pedal, which is great for heel-to-toe braking. However, it takes a minute to get used to this new pedal position for normal braking.
