Disappointed good cable and connector product

So it's been almost a year since I bought this cable and while it's better than another brand I've bought I'm disappointed that it now start cutting. Apparently the problem is where the cord enters the outlet. I'm not sure how to prevent this with the other one, but since it's cheap I'll probably buy it again when this one finally stops working completely.
