Before you buy this product I think I would like to tell you that this is a durable product so using it on fragile fabrics or such fabrics may result in sticking gouges of the Comb, easily pulled out and damaged. What is amazing about it is that it is very effective in removing hair and getting rid of sand. I have used it on a fabric couch my cats have slept on most of the time for the past 3 years and I have not cleaned it at all and it was covered in hair I didn't think I could get rid of all the hair. but i bought it and was so excited because i could remove all the hair and get the sand off the sofa. I have to say that I had to be very careful because I used it on a velvet sofa and it could have been damaged. But the amount of hair a metal comb can hold is shocking and I really think it's a great product. The other thing that came with the kit was a small brush with rubber grips on the end, which I really like because it's extremely effective at picking things up. I don't think it was as effective as metal combs, but for softer tissue it works. I would add one thing for kids and that would be a natural bristle clothes comb which I bought earlier this year and I use it in combination with these items for really bad stuffed stuff from her and I think it's amazing and when it's amazing that i could restore this velvet sofa because i went through three lint rollers, the shop vacuum didn't work and i really thought i had to get rid of it, it was in good condition so it saved me, and I definitely recommend it
